QUALITATIVE RESEARCH METHODOLOGY TRAINING

During 13-15 December 2011,  in Airlangga University – Surabaya, there was an interesting training. It is about Qualitative Research. Actually, this type of research is  rarely used in  Dept. Food Science and Technology UNS which is my affiliation now. However it gave important knowledge and experience to the participant, such as the basic concept, the research design, the basic concept of hierarchy analysis, as well as the software used for data analysis such as Expert Choise, INVIVO, and CD-C EZText.

The participant came from around Indonesia: Kutai, Palu, Jember, Bandung, Jogjakarta, Batam, Bima, Semarang, Banjarmasin, Jakarta, Berau, Kupang, Bogor, Denpasar, Ambon, Kendari, Padang, Palembang, Madura, Tomohon, Surakarta, and Surabaya certainly. Not only from education institution, but also from Bappeda, Puskesmas, Dinas Kesehatan, hospital, and so on. It was amazing to meet about 130 new friends in an academic area.

Hopefully, this training can be useful for the all of participants. Not only to clean out their annually institution budget towards the end of 2011.
